Biography: Prof. Ping (Peter) Zhang is currently an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Science and Technology at University of Macau, in Macao SAR. Prof. Zhang joined University of Macau in November 2017 as Assistant Professor and promoted to Associate Professor in August 2024. Before joining the University, he was a chemical engineer at British Petroleum at Houston Texas. His research areas include water chemistry, membrane-based water treatment technologies, and metal corrosion control. Prof. Zhang is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Chemical Engineering and Environmental Engineering in the State of Texas and is also a Chartered Chemist (CChem) of Royal Society of Chemistry of the U.K.
